A Single Information Environment that allows assured information to flow freely from points of origin to points of need has long been an MOD aspiration. Recently DSTL have been developing an architectural concept to underpin such free flow of assured information in a way that isscalable, agile and suitable for tactical networks. This presentation will showcase the Single Information Environment concept and other projects within the information and intelligence portfolio that have the potential to deliver the Integrated Operating Concept and bring the much-anticipated information nirvana closer to reality.
Following a background in Operational Analysis, Amanda Shakir has worked in Information Systems at DSTL for ten years, including three years as the National Project Officer for MAJIIC 2, which delivered interoperability to NATO Joint ISR. She now leads on Open Architecture Integration within the Single Information Environment project.
Robin Fisk is an enterprise and solutions architect with 15 years’ experience of working on Defence and Government projects. He led the industry team that delivered DSTL’s research and development into the Single Information Environment architecture and proof of concept demonstration.
