Good Practice Study Group

Part of the Team Defence Information Joint Professional Working Group, this group operates an annual activity whereby “emerging professionals” (i.e. recent graduates/apprentices looking to further advance their CPD) are able to develop their research, management and presentational skills in a work-related topic that has direct relevance to their working environment

The Good Practice Study Group – GPSG – mentors and coaches early career professionals to work within a group to develop investigative and presentation skills by crossing boundaries (both within departments in one’s own company and across companies as well as with Requirer/Supplier) to gain insight of a Good Practice in a topic relevant to Support Chain/Information Management. The studies run during Q2/3 & 4 and culminate in a presentation of findings to a senior audience of MOD and Industry Members.

Participants research a relevant topic and document information on generic and defence good practices as well as within their own company. They work in contact with a group of peers from other companies and receive mentoring support and guidance during their studies.  Towards the end of the project participants are invited to present their findings to interested and knowledgeable senior MOD and Industry representatives.
